CARE works around the globe to save lives, defeat poverty and achieve social justice. We seek a world of hope, inclusion and social justice, where poverty has been overcome and all people live with dignity and security. This year, CARE worked in 111 countries, reaching more than 174 million people through 1,600 projects.
CARE has been working in Türkiye and Syria since 2013 to help support communities affected by the Syrian conflict. In the last fiscal year, CARE reached more than 700,000 people in Türkiye, 57.7% of whom are girls and women, and more than 1.8 million people in Syria, 53% of whom are women and girls.
The deadly earthquakes that struck south-central Türkiye and northwest Syria impacted millions of people. CARE Turkiye, along with its partners has worked diligently to support this natural disaster and has continued to successfully maintain our current programming.
