ROLE SUMMARY
The Country Programme Coordinator for Health and Nutrition will provide strategic guidance to technical teams and project managers (PMs) and oversee the progress of operations in ways that promote CARE SSD’s strategic goals. The ideal candidate will be an excellent leader and will have experience in managing health and nutrition staff to produce results in a timely manner. S/He will be able to strategize, implement, and maintain programme initiatives that adhere to CARE SSD’s objectives, develop programme assessment protocols for evaluation and improvement, maintain CARE SSD’s standards of satisfaction, quality, and performance; oversee multiple project teams, ensuring programme goals are reached, manage budgets and timelines including regular budget analysis with project managers and support Programme Development and Quality Coordinator (PDQC) in creating new ideas/projects and developing long-term plans for Health and Nutrition units following CARE SSD’s new strategy.

QUALIFICATIONS
1.Design and implementation of Health and Nutrition programmes in fragile states and for refugee and IDP populations.
2.Five years’ experience in a coordination role requiring provision of support to multiple offices/locations/teams including community-based health and nutrition, outreach and mobile teams
3.Proven experience of successful capacity-building of health and nutrition field staff and partners, with experience in remote training
4.Proven experience supporting project teams on full project cycle technical needs (design, implementation, M&E, lessons learned), experience in emergency. or protracted crises setting.
5.Excellent communication and writing skills in English
6.Strong networking capability
7.Ability to organize and facilitate training sessions
8.Ability to develop capacity building frameworks and work plans
9.Ability to work in multi-cultural teams
