Job Summary:
As Country Representative you will lead, manage and advance the programming and operations objectives and the mission of Catholic Relief Services (CRS) to serve the poor and vulnerable. Your strategic leadership will enable you to advance CRS’ reputation and impact while you proactively manage security and mitigate security risks and liabilities.
Roles and Key Responsibilities:
Required Languages – Fluent English is required. Proficiency in Lao a plus.
Travel – This position is based in Vientiane, Laos. Must be willing and able to travel up to 35% for in-country, regional, and international travel to represent the country program.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Head of Operations, Head of Programs, Country Manager (outreach country)
Key Working Relationships:
Internal: Asia Regional leaders and technical advisors, Country Program leadership and departments, HQ department heads and technical staff
External: UN partners, peer organizations, diplomatic corps, donor organizations, local civil society organizations, Catholic Church in Laos

General Requirements
CRS offers are contingent on the selected candidate’s ability to legally work where the position is to be performed. Every government has a unique set of work permit eligibility requirements. All positions requiring residence or frequent travel outside a home country must undergo and clear a pre-employment medical clearance; some work permit processes require clearing a separate government administered medical examination.
