Location: Ottawa (Hybrid Mode*)

You have :

  • A University degree in computer science, data science, information science, business or other relevant degree, or an acceptable combination of education, experience, and training. Data analysis certification is an asset.
  • Proficiency in French and English (reading writing and speaking).
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in eliciting and documenting data requirements in data models.
  • Experience with transforming and transferring data between information systems.
  • Experience in data reporting and/or business intelligence tools, experience in business analysis, experience in information governance and knowledge management frameworks; are considered assets.
  • Enhanced knowledge with database languages such as SQL to run data queries.
  • An in-depth understanding of data warehousing, data modeling, and machine learning concepts are assets.

  • Interested in exploring various aspects of AI, ML, NLP, etc., to unlock insight from key unstructured information, and in support of streamlined analysis, visualization, and reporting.
  • A strong communicator with great interpersonal skills.

  • Helping IDRC to leverage its data and information assets to enable evidence-based decision-making, as a strategic priority, by modeling and merging data from different sources, performing data transformation, as well as investigating and making recommendations about technological solutions.

  • *Hybrid Mode: Have the flexibility to work in hybrid mode (3 days out of 10 in the office).
