The Data and Digital Analyst, within the Fundraising Data & Analysis team, is responsible for enabling a data-driven and data-informed culture to make evidence-based decisions as well as support on our Digital Product Infrastructure.
The post holder will work across the Digital Systems, ensuring effective administration and training is provided to the platform users, including developing robust onboarding and offboarding processes; along with monitoring our synchronizations between systems and conducting reconciliation as needed.
The post holder will generate, improve and analyze fundraising data, both quantitative and qualitative, from internal and external sources to produce strategic information that supports data-driven and informed decisions, tactics, and strategies that consistently maximize HRW fundraising results.
The post holder will also provide, with supervision from the Data Analyst Lead, ad-hoc analysis, data selections, reporting and develop the reporting and documentation required to support the end users; with support from the Training and Support team. This position reports to the Senior Manager, Analytics and Insight, on the FSDA team and may be based in any of the following HRW Offices: Chicago, New York, Washington DC, Sao Paulo, London, Brussels, Amsterdam, Berlin, Amman, Nairobi, Tunis, or Johannesburg.

Qualifications:
Education: A bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience is required.
Experience: Minimum of two years of relevant experience working in fundraising data analysis or business data analysis is required. Knowledge and experience in nonprofit fundraising and marketing, preferably in a global INGO context with country-specific fundraising operations, is highly desirable.
Related Skills and Knowledge:
1. Fluency in fundraising practices, terminology, technologies, channels, and compliance, and the ability to translate easily between fundraising end users and technology providers.
2. Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret and present complex data.
3. Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy and quality.
4. Fluency in SQL or similar database query language desired.
5. Proficiency in using Engaging Networks, or another e-CRM, is essential.
6. Proficiency in using E-Mail Applications such as Mailchimp is essential, with Marketing Cloud knowledge a plus.
7. Proficiency in using fundraising software platforms, CRM systems (Salesforce Desirable), and building data analytics tools and reports using BI tools like Power BI or Tableau is also desirable.
8. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical staff.
9. Ability to work collaboratively and build trust with diverse stakeholders from around the globe, including staff for whom English is not their first language.
10. Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
11. Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders and teams.
12. Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
13. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office software, particularly Excel.
Salary and Benefits: HRW seeks exceptional applicants and offers competitive compensation and employer-paid benefits including medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance. Candidates must possess valid work authorization for the location in which they’d like to be based. The salary range for this position if based in the US is 62,060 – 66,387. Salary ranges outside of the US vary based on location.
