The role of the Data collector who are dependable and self-driven to ensure the successful completion of our MEL (e.g., PDM, Outcome survey, Routine monitoring survey, client satisfaction survey and any other assessment etc.) data collection process and responsible for conducting interviews and collecting information from households, programme/Project participants and individuals within a specific area, day-to-day implementation and coordination with the MEL Coordinator.
Key Tasks and Assignments:
- Conduct interviews with individuals to collect MEL data.
- Follow NRC’s guidelines, procedures, and protocols when collecting and recording data.
- Verify data for accuracy and completeness.
- Conduct follow-up interviews as necessary to obtain missing or incomplete data.
- Report any issues, concerns, or recommendations on ensuring NRC’s service quality to the Supervisor.
- Perform work in a designated geographical area, either by walking or traveling to specified locations
- Be available to work a schedule as assigned, including weekends and evenings, as required.
- Support to conduct regular spot checks and visits to NRC static points to ensure proper functioning and compliance with established standards as assigned.
- Support to conduct orientation sessions and support the community feedback mechanism team to ensure active participation and address concerns.
- Organize and facilitate Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) to gather community insights and feedback on relevant issues.
- Execute Key Informant Interviews (KIIs) with relevant stakeholders to collect valuable qualitative data.
- Ensure confidentiality and security of data, adhering to the data protection policy
- Utilize electronic devices, i.e, a Tablet to record data, ensuring the proper care, maintenance, and security of any devices or equipment provided for project-related tasks.
- Perform any other duties or tasks as assigned by the line manager in support of project objectives and organizational goals.
Key Education and Skills Requirements:
- Minimum Academic Qualification: HSC/Diploma.
- Subject-based content knowledge with 6 months to 1 year’s data collection experience.
- Experience in survey/data enumerator/M&E/MIS, verification, and supporting peers in professional development is preferable.
- Experience in data collection through an online-based platform, e.g. KOBO.
- Proficiency in Chittagonian/Rohingya language is preferred.
- Work experience in the Rohingya refugee camp context is preferable.
What We Offer:
- Duty Station: Ukhiya and Teknaf, Cox’s Bazar.

- 90% travel, approximately to camps and host community areas.
- Skilled Level 05 in NRC’s Contingent workers Salary Scale monthly Gross Salary is 33,000 BDT (If someone works more/less than a complete month then the payment will be calculated on a pro-rata basis as per actual attendance.)
