The position is to be filled as soon as possible, with a contract duration until October 31, 2024 due to programme financing. There are good prospects for an extension. Employment location will be Bonn, Germany.

As Data Management Assistant, you will be supporting the data management expert in our Emergency Supply Pre-positioning Strategy Programme. In your role, you will be responsible for administrative and organisational support of the Programme Management Unit.

Your responsibilities

  • Support consolidation of data analysis inputs, including disaster related data, distances, transportation parameters, etc.
  • Assist with manual cleanup of disaster related data, with data maintenance, including updating and maintaining contact lists, status, etc.
  • Support in performing error checks based on existing protocols
  • Input of inventory data into database and assist in reviewing data results
  • Format disaster files for online submission
  • Provide downloaded data and charts to stakeholders

Your profile

  • Completed formal training or job-relevant professional experience
  • A minimum of 1 to 3 years of professional experience
  • Very high competence in Microsoft Office and Microsoft TEAMS
  • Very good communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Very high affinity to data management and humanitarian topics
  • Fluent English is a prerequisite, knowledge of French or Spanish is an advantage
