The program of Enteric Infections and Vaccines under the Infectious Diseases Division conducts research with the Mucosal Immunology and Vaccinology Unit (MIVU) for immunological and molecular genomic analyses for different enteric organisms. To achieve this goal icddr,b is working for controlling enteric infections, detecting and controlling emerging and re-emerging infections with the collaboration of the relevant government and non-government stakeholders.

Position Description:

The Data Management Assistant will report to the Database Administrator and will be responsible for administering all kinds of data forms and providing necessary entries in the data screen with the objective of generating complete and accurate data for the supervisor within the guidelines of the research project and organizational values and guidelines. S/he will be involved in–

• Perform overall data entry and data coding as per the guidelines of the research team;
• Take corrective actions to correct wrong data including data inconsistency check, crosscheck, reconcile etc.;
• Perform data cleaning according to study guidelines to ensure data accuracy;
• Prepare tables and graphs using MS Office;
• Keep records of every single activity related to the data collection;
• Escalate difficult cases to the Statistician for the solution;
• Maintain effective filing and documentation system for further use of records and verification;
• Visit the data collection field if necessary.
• Develop application installation into the devices; Provide continuous support for user queries on the field;
• Check data inconsistency according to the requirements and logic; prepare a report highlighting the errors and correct the errors found in order to make error-free programs.

Required qualifications and experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline, Preference will be given to candidates with a Diploma in Android Studio and Graphic Design;
• At least 3 years of experience in Android Studio and Graphic Design;
• Must have knowledge in developing using C#, PHP, and SQL Server databases.
• Understanding of Windows Server, and Server Backup management is preferable.

Location: Mohakhali, Dhaka

Contract Type and Duration:

• Fixed Term Contract; duration will be 1 year with a possibility of extension subject to availability of funds and performance.

Salary & benefits:

• Annual Tk.451,930/- inclusive of house rent and conveyance allowances and other admissible benefits.
• 14.8% provident fund contribution, income tax paid by icddr,b, children allowance @Tk.1,917/- per child per month, festival bonus, contributory healthcare support including dependent spouse and children, group life insurance, and subsidized canteen. Transport and daycare facilities are subject to space availability.
