About the Program:
WRI’s Operations department strives to make all global offices fully capable and low risk, enhancing their operational capabilities, establishing sustainable growth through a bond of mutual respect, collaboration and sharing knowledge across the sisterhood of WRI offices. This is done by targeting upon standards of performance, measuring the efficiency and effectiveness for the sisterhood of offices.
This position is hybrid and will require a few days per week in our Washington DC office.
What you will do:
In this role, you will execute on data stewardship and data quality projects with the goal of promoting confidence in WRI’s systems and tools. You will strengthen your Excel and project management skills while being exposed to the world of Salesforce administration. You will be supported by the Operations department which strives to maximize capabilities across global offices while minimizing institutional risk. You will report to the CRM Manager.
Internship Learning Outcomes:
Data Cleansing (40% time)
• Work in conjunction with data owners to update/close out stale records
• Improve data quality through a combination of manual and bulk data clean-ups
Record Merging (30% time)
• Identify and merge duplicate Salesforce records
Salesforce Administration (15% time)
• Customize WRI’s Salesforce org (e.g. modify page layouts, dashboards and reports)
• Create user-friendly guides
• Help maintain Salesforce-related documentation
Project Management (15% time)
• Document project progress and stakeholder engagement/feedback
What you will need:
- Pursuing or recently completed a bachelor’s or master’s degree.
- You have some experience using Excel for large data sets.
- You have some experience using data visualization tools. You have experience with tools such as Salesforce, Monday.com, Asana, PowerBI, or Tableau.
- You have an aptitude for learning new technologies and a desire to learn how data is architected and managed.
Compensation
The pay for this internship opportunity is $20 for undergrads; $22 for graduates and $24 for PhD.
Length of Contract:
This is a full-time, 3-month internship with a flexible start and end date.
Location:
- This is a hybrid internship that will be based out of our Washington D.C. office.
- You will be required to work in the Washington DC office at least 8 days a month.
- WRI will provide a laptop for the duration of your internship.
