Pact seeks an experienced Deputy Chief of Party (DCOP) for the USAID-funded civil society and media program that will advance citizen security and crime prevention objectives, with the aim of improving Dominicans’ ability to live free from all forms of crime and violence and to realize their full human rights. The activity will apply locally led, problem-driven, adaptive approaches. This a five-year activity and the position will be based in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
The DCOP will work closely with the Chief of Party (COP) for technical and the overall management of the project, overseeing the private sector engagement and partnerships focus of the project and operational aspects, ensuring that objectives are met on time and within budget. Together with the COP, s/he will oversee the portfolio of sub-grants and sub-contracts with both Dominican & and international organizations. S/he will ensure rapid startup; day-to-day implementation of activities; and coordination between the project’s technical and operational leads. S/he will be the primary point of contact with USAID in the absence of the COP regarding day-to-day implementation and management matters related to the agreement.
