Position Overview:
|
|
Under the general supervision of the Director of Policy and Partnerships, the position will work across the organization to translate PIH Liberia’s vision, clinical and program strategies into high quality programs and projects supported by well-structured mission aligned partnerships.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
|
|
Project Development and Portfolio Management
· Lead activities for a portfolio of projects spanning multiple geographic and technical areas, ensuring adherence to effective project management practices to increase organizational impact and results
· Establish a dynamic work environment that promotes team empowerment and shared accountability for functional design and delivery of projects within the assigned portfolio
· Drive results by setting portfolio performance metrics which support and measure the sustained delivery of services against organizational needs / objectives / strategies
· Work closely with technical leads to troubleshoot issues as/when they arise
· Support project managers and technical leads to develop timely, technically sound reports
· Act as the main point of contact for resolution of escalated issues or sensitive, confidential matters with high risk and impact to the organization for assigned portfolio with the Director of Policy & Partnerships and Executive Leadership Team
· Facilitate quarterly review meetings and set up knowledge management systems that ensure learning is shared across the portfolio
· Support translation of model programs into government policy and strategy
· Position joint Partners In Health/Ministry of Health programs for funding that supports innovation and scale-up with in-country, regional and global donors
· Support capacity building of Partners In Health/Ministry of Health colleagues on program design, management and reporting

· Coordinate policy analyses to assess the application of leading evidence as well as equity assessments to help advocate for improved pro-poor policies within Ministry of Health and other Government of Liberia agencies
· Contribute to Government of Liberia policy and implementation strategies through participation in working groups and coordination with PIH technical experts in areas of key interest to the Ministry
· Mentor Ministry of Health and Partners In Health staff on effective strategies for translating evidence into policy and action
