CARE is seeking a Deputy Director – Türkiye Earthquake Response (DD-TR) who will lead CARE’s earthquake response programming inside Türkiye. The Deputy Director will be responsible for the leadership, management, and coordination of the entire portfolio of earthquake response grants implemented inside Türkiye, focusing on WASH (Water Sanitation and Hygiene), FSL (Food Security and Livelihoods), Protection and Shelter.
The person in this role will be responsible for ensuring effective cross functional coordination to support the timely implementation of large and complex projects that combine multiple program sectors with multiple implementing modalities, both through local partners and direct implementation. They will provide strategic direction and leadership in the areas of program management, program quality, and coordination across CARE Türkiye earthquake response locations in Hatay and other affected provinces in southern Türkiye.
The DD-TR will be expected to identify issues and risks related to grant implementation in a timely manner and implement appropriate program adjustments. The position requires significant coordination skills, broad general and technical knowledge, and confident leadership skills to ensure programmatic targets and impact are achieved in spite of urgent deadlines and competing priorities.
