Key Responsibilities:
Lead and ensure that assessment and design processes are as per standard in the Development Programme Approach.
Plan, organize and ensure that the assessment processes (including sponsorship and special projects) are timely implemented and budget spent according to the project operation plan.
Facilitate community engagement and networking with partners and communities through the assessment and design process
Facilitate the assessment process and utilize appropriate tools for data collection.
Build constructive relationships with and among government organizations, traditional leaders, NGO’s, Churches and other FBO’s
Develop and draft the assessment report and Area Programme Plan document in based on in a participatory manner with all key stakeholders.
Work closely with the communities and other stakeholders to mobilise for child sponsorship
Ensure Area programme priorities and approaches are aligned with community, partners & NO strategies.
Write and timely submit monthly, quarterly and annual progress reports
Adequately document the entire assessment and design process
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in social science is essential. Minimum of three years of work experience in development programmes.
Strong proven community engagement and facilitation skills
Understanding of and commitment to World Vision Core Values
Experience in networking is necessary.
Experience in using Microsoft Office (Word, Access, Excel.)
Excellent skills in report writing.
Excellent communication and human relations skills.
