The Digital Business Manager is a critical role of CARE USA Digital Strategy & Operations organization. This role facilitates cross-functional strategic alignment, governs performance measures of digital initiatives, and develops business capability across a multi-disciplinary and quickly evolving Digital team. The Digital Business Manager is also responsible for the planning and management of CARE USA Digital 11M+ annual budget and supports the Digital Senior Leadership team by offering insights and finance advice that will allow the team to make the best business decisions for their organization. This role reports to the Director of Digital Strategy & Programs and will work across the functions of the Digital team; cyber security, infrastructure, applications, data management, knowledge management, and global support services while supporting the Director of Digital Strategy & Programs to ensure digital strategy and digital expenses remain relevant and aligned with priority of CARE USA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Agile Financial Management
    • Lead the Digital teams financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and review process to support organizational requirements and agile approaches to current estimate of $11M in Digital annually. The Digital Business Manager will support digital initiatives and operations to ensure we are strategically aligning our resources for the best business impact. Building off standard financial approaches at CARE USA, this role will develop innovative and iterative processes to support financial initiatives – including global digital spend dashboards.
  • Strategic Alignment
    • Develop approach to ensure continuous alignment between enterprise priorities and digital strategy. Ensure organizational performance metrics align with digital operations, focusing on measurable results and ROI. Create operational framework to ensure functions within Digital Strategy, Governance and Operations are projected, managed, and visible (dashboards).
  • Digital Governance
    • Develop and manage governance framework so digital initiatives have a standard approach to identify stakeholders, decision-makers, policies and resources for organization-wide initiatives. The outcome of this is clear but how to get there is not. Will need to adopt best practices and be able to identify components that reflect quantifiable impact for CARE USA, based on context. Use Agile approach to implement solutions iteratively with continuous feedback. Engage with key digital and organizational leadership, including legal, IPO, Procurement, & Finance.
  • Digital Operations
    • Develop and implement standard processes for operational requirements: PAR, PTO, etc. Ensure these are measured with visibility across Digital leadership. Identify & implement opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness of Digital team through process standardization. Develop and manage vendor management tools to support more strategic and cohesive use of resources across Digital. Develop communication materials as needed (Board, Leadership, etc.)
  • Support Director of Digital Strategy & Programs or Chief Information Officer as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Support Director of Digital Strategy & Programs or Chief Information Officer as needed.
  • 7-10 years of increasing responsibility in financial planning, modeling, management and operational support. Advanced excel skills. Demonstrated agility and curiosity with digital tools (collaboration tools, project planning, etc.). Strong communication and collaboration skills. Openness to using virtual tools to engage with co-workers as we build a global workforce, and engage CARE staff globally. Strong organizational skills – e.g. file management
