We are seeking a digital health expert consultant to provide short-term, deliverable-based technical assistance in support of a Maverick Collective project intended to capture and share key learnings across our digital health implementation portfolio. PSI’s digital health interventions include consumer, provider, community, and systems level solutions in support of our HIV, sexual and reproductive health, malaria, and social business programming. The consultant should have a deep understanding of the evidence base for digital health interventions, knowledge of the key evidence gaps for digital health, and fluency in
the priorities and directions of global digital health communities of practice. Reporting to the Head, Digital Health, the consultant will work with the Strategy & Insights team and the Digital Health and Monitoring Team to identify and document key learnings and insights relevant to field using a consistent template format to be used in PSI’s internal technical knowledge sharing platform. The consultant will also be asked to produce content capturing key learning for use in external communications

SCOPE OF WORK

  • Review documentation of PSI’s digital health intervention portfolio and research
  • Interview members of digital health and program implementation teams to contextualize and capture program learning and insights
  • Develop 7-10 digital health insights submissions for PSI’s internal technical knowledge sharing platform
  • Develop 2-3 short form blogs capturing learning most relevant to external audiences (including digital health and health systems strengthening communities of practice)
  • Provide recommendations on improvements to digital health evidence generation and insights capture activities

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

  • A Masters or doctoral-level degree in public health, information technology, digital health, digital marketing, or related
  • 6-8 years of experience working in digital health interventions
  • Active membership and engagement with digital health communities of practice
  • Previous experience working at the intersection between digital health and health systems strengthening
  • Substantial understanding of the existing evidence base for digital health interventions
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to independently produce deliverables
  • Proven experience producing a wide variety of high-quality communications products that are both stylish and substantive
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
  • Ability to work across teams, time zones, and groups over whom there is no direct authority to accomplish project goals
  • Experience and excellence in working with large, multinational and intercultural teams
