Job Profile
The Director – Marketing & Engagement is a critical role within the National Office, focused on ensuring effective stakeholder engagement among a wide internal and external audience, including donors. The incumbent will diversify funding sources to support effective programme implementation and enhance programme quality, while maintaining World Vision’s vision, mission and core values.
Major Responsibilities
• Actively contribute to the Senior Leadership of the organization by providing recommendations for organizational strategy to address funding gaps, and to execute the strategy effectively.
• Attract partnerships from corporate and non-corporate entities, individuals and movements to support the organisation’s strategy in addressing the needs of the most vulnerable children.
• Engaging a broad audience, raising awareness, and driving donations to meet the needs of vulnerable children.
• Managing resources from diverse funding sources and ensuring effective accountability and compliance.
• Managing the Private Sector Engagement initiative.
• Provide leadership to the National Resource Development team.
Required qualifications, experience & competencies
• 8 -10 years of experience in management in a complex, international organization preferably in NGO context.
• Graduate Degree qualification and/or professional qualification in Marketing or any Social Science related Degree or MBA.
• Understanding of how NGOs operate, including their funding models, donor relations, and regulatory environment.
• Experience in high level government, NGO, corporate and donor communication.
• Experience in planning, executing and evaluating marketing campaigns particularly those aimed at raising awareness or driving donations.
• A thorough understanding of Child Rights and the humanitarian industry
• Highly critical, strategic, creative and innovative thinking.
• The position requires ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 40 % of the time.
