Position Overview
FP2030 is a global partnership of governments, civil society, multilateral organizations, donors, private sector partners, and researchers committed to supporting people’s right to voluntary, quality contraception. Our vision is a future where everyone, everywhere has the freedom and ability to lead healthy lives, make their own informed decisions about using contraception and having children, and participate as equals in society and its development.
The FP2030 Support Network consists of five regional hubs: North, West and Central Africa; East and Southern Africa; Asia and the Pacific; and Latin America and the Caribbean, and North America and Europe, led by an Executive Director, supported by an Executive Directorate team, who reports to the Governing Board. Each Regional Hub is headed by a Managing Director supported by a small team and hosted by an NGO within the region. Together, these five business units comprise the FP2030 Support Network.
The Director, Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL Director) will be responsible for the creation of and adherence to a comprehensive strategy for monitoring, evaluation and learning across the FP2030 Support Network. To accomplish this, the MEL Director will align FP2030’s strategy with its Results Framework, research and develop a timeline for MEL activities, key indicators for measurement, data collection, storage, interpretation methodology, reporting, and more. They will ensure the buy-in for, dissemination, and cohesive implementation of the MEL strategy across the five FP2030 regional hubs. They will be responsible for articulating and implementing the MEL strategy within the new and dynamic regional Support Network structure, including how to work with the regional hubs and identifying what additional resources and personnel may be needed to fully operationalize the MEL strategy. They will also develop and manage the learning agenda for the FP2030 Support Network as a part of the MEL Strategy.
The MEL Director reports to the Executive Director, FP2030 and has a close working relationship with the Executive Director, Managing Directors, and Directors. The MEL Director may supervise additional staff members as relevant.
