Partners In Health seeks a qualified, dynamic candidate for the position of Director of Nursing for our West Africa clinical program. The Nursing Director will play a central role in the implementation PIH’s core mission and values, program development, clinical programs management, implementation, and strategic planning. The Director of Nursing will work in close collaboration with the PIH Liberia Director of Clinical Services, PIHL Community Program Director, PIHL Director of Policy and Partnership to ensure sustainable execution of priorities in accordance with national Ministry of Health guidelines. We are seeking an individual experienced in strategy, quality improvement, program development, budget/grant management, and clinical leadership, who can provide key assessments, and vision related to the PIH Liberia clinical program.
Position summary: This person will be based in Maryland County, Liberia with some travel to the Ministry of Health and Board of Nursing and Midwifery in Monrovia to accompany in strategic planning and implementation of national nursing and midwifery policies and guidelines. |

Through our partnership with Harvard Medical School and the Brigham and Women’s Hospital, we support a wide range of programs in dozens of other countries around the world. Our Work In Liberia: Partners In Health (PIH) began supporting the government of Liberia in response to the Ebola epidemic in October 2014. Recognizing the large need for continued investments in the health system after Ebola, PIH is committed to long-term health system strengthening in support of the Ministry of Health (MOH), guided by the same principles as our emergency response and our work around the world: public sector accompaniment, integrated and comprehensive services, social justice, nimbleness and flexibility, partnership, community ownership, and evidence-based interventions. In the aftermath of the epidemic, PIH is committed to supporting the delivery of comprehensive health services in Liberia, from the community level to the health center and to referral hospitals. |
