Plan International Pilipinas is seeking a passionate and experienced Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) Specialist to join our dynamic team!

The DRR Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring the successful implementation of this project. You will provide technical support, lead capacity-building activities, manage project activities, and ensure compliance with donor requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Conduct DRR Capacity and Vulnerability Assessments.
    • Design and facilitate DRR interventions using participatory techniques.
    • Facilitate meetings to ensure partners understand the needs of vulnerable groups in DRR.
    • Lead communities in reviewing and updating their contingency plans.
    • Implement project activities based on the approved plan.
    • Ensure compliance with donor reporting requirements.
    • Monitor project progress and address any challenges.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Community Development, Behavioral Sciences, or a related field.
  • Training in Community Organizing/Development, Program/Project Management, Participatory Rapid Appraisal, Cultural Sensitivity, Gender Sensitivity, and Disaster Risk Reduction and Management.
  • Five (5) years of experience in community organizing and development.
  • Hands-on experience in Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM).
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and report-writing skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Fluency in English and the local dialect is a plus.
