Context
UNFPA Iraq is looking for 200 passionate online volunteers to help amplify the celebration of International Women’s Day by disseminating key messages across social media. Volunteers will play a vital role in increasing the reach of UNFPA’s content, raising awareness about gender equality, and engaging audiences in meaningful conversations. By joining this assignment, volunteers will contribute to enhancing visibility, expanding engagement, and mobilizing support for women’s rights across platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a global movement while gaining hands-on experience in digital advocacy and communications. All volunteers will receive a certificate of appreciation from UNV upon completion.
Task Description
UNFPA Iraq’s Communications team is looking for 200 online volunteers to support with engaging with the Iraqi audience on social media for the Women’s Day Celebration and will undertake the following actions: – Repost and promote UNFPA’s official International Women’s Day social media posts. – Engage with audiences by liking, commenting, and resharing content to increase visibility. – Use designated hashtags and messaging to align with UNFPA’s campaign. – Encourage discussions and interactions around gender equality and women’s rights. – Suggest creative ways to maximize engagement within their networks. Final Deliverables ✔ Active participation in sharing at least 10 UNFPA posts across social media platforms. ✔ Meaningful engagement (likes, comments, shares) on campaign content. ✔ Support in expanding UNFPA’s reach to diverse audiences. ✔ Keep the links of your posts and comments for UNFPA to evaluate your performance
