Duties and Responsibilities
UNCTAD’s Debt Management and Financial Analysis System (DMFAS) Programme is one of the world’s leading providers of technical cooperation and advisory services in the area of debt management. The Programme offers countries a set of proven solutions for improving their capacity to handle the day-today management of public liabilities and the production of reliable debt data for policy-making purposes.This includes its specialized debt management software, the DMFAS – which greatly facilitates the work of the debt office – as well as advisory services and training activities in debt management.
Under the general direction of the Chief of the DMFAS Programme,and under the
direct operational supervision of the DMFAS Quality Assurance/User Support Team Leader the Consultant will provide support to DMFAS 7 functional team by undertaking the following duties:
1. Participate to functional group team meetings.
2. Provide substantive comments on new User Requirements Definitions documents
3. Participate in the validation process of product requirements documentation (review, validation, etc.)
4. Assist IT team in the interpretation of the new URDs and product requirements
5. Conduct user testing on new release delivered by development team and document testing results.
6. Compare testing results with DMFAS 6 and document any discrepancy.
7. Provide necessary clarification and explanation about discrepancies to internal development team and to external company
Qualifications/special skills
An advanced university degree, or equivalent, in economics, finance or statistics.
At least 5 years of professional experience in public debt management. Experience with DMFAS for debt recording and reporting is essential. Training experience in DMFAS also required
Languages
Fluency in English.
