Job Description:

Purpose of the position:

 

To facilitate Transport and ensure efficient and safe use of the vehicles in compliance to WV DR Congo policies.

 

Major Responsibilities:

Ensure transportation of people and goods toward and from field of programs or projects. 60%

 

Does any transportation request the fleet officer 5%

 

Maintain vehicle clean every day

Make sure that every vehicle has all on board document in place. 5

 

Make the request of genuine parts, fuel and oils, etc. 5%

 

Produce and submit monthly report on the 20th of every month 5%

Qualifications:  Education/Knowledge/Technical Skills and Experience

The following may be acquired through a combination of formal or self-education, prior experience or on-the-job training:

  • Minimum Qualification required: Form Four with a valid class C driving license
  • Experience:  3 years in driving with class C
  • Preferred: License driving with training certificate driving school
  • Technical Skills & Abilities:
  • Ability to communicate in local languages including good command of Kiswahili. English is an added advantage.
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with all levels of staff
  • Basic vehicle mechanics skills

 

Working Environment / Conditions:

  • Work environment:  Field based
  • Travel:  80% Domestic travel is required.
  • On call:  10%
