INTRODUCTION TO GGGI

PURPOSE
S/he will ensure the driving of staff, GGGI visitors and property in secure conditions as needed. Follow the required procedures of GGGI with regards to vehicles usage procedure and ensure timely maintenance of the vehicle.
ENGAGEMENT
- Following the instructions of the supervisor deliver correspondences, documents, packages and goods to their required destinations.
- Support the efficient running of GGGI office through efficient driving services that ensures timely transportation of staff, officials and visitors to the office, the place of assignments, and meetings.
- He/she is often the first point of contact for people from outside the country office. He/she interacts on a day-to-day basis with personnel and officials from local offices and service providers.
- Meet staff and official visitors at the airport, train stations and hotels and facilitate VIP missions.
- Keep abreast of traffic rules and regulations as well as road security and safety awareness to ensure safe and timely arrival for meeting.
DELIVERY
- Provide administrative support to the field teams in delivery of work-related documents/packages.
- Perform cash/cheque deposits to the bank as required and instructed by supervisor (field coordinator).
- Adhere to scheduled maintenance of vehicle to ensures vehicle is always kept in good running condition; Directly addressing minor maintenance: timely oil and battery change, tire quality check, brakes check, water levels and cleanliness of the vehicle; Major level repair should be arranged and approved by your supervisor.
- Log official trips, daily mileage, gas consumption, transportation/vehicle related expenditures, etc.
- Notify administration focal person at least 3 months in advance of the expiry date of the administrative documents for the cars (insurance/road worthiness certificate, etc.) for processing.
- Ensure that vehicles are safely parked in GGGI premises when not in use, and strictly adhere to GGGI’s vehicle usage procedures with regards to time, vehicle use, authorized passengers, etc.
- Regularly monitor and suggest and recommendations to your supervisor with regards to management and maintenance problems of the vehicle.
- Perform any other tasks and duties you may be assigned.
REQUIREMENT
QUALIFICATIONS
- At least a high school/secondary school education
- Possess a valid driving license and competence in preventive maintenance and administration of vehicles
- At least 3-5 years working experience in a similar position and with a credible institution
- At least 3 years working experience in similar conditions in the field
- Good knowledge of the local driving rules and regulations; skill in minor vehicle repair
- Excellent knowledge of driving in the countryside and local areas (geographical locations and loads)
- Fluency in the local language is preferred. Basic communication/speaking in English is desired.
