Driver Technician – Mobility Aids Service

Location: Eastleigh covering Hampshire
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 35 per week

Salary: £18,724 per annum

We have a Driver Technician position available within our Mobility Aids Service (MAS) based in Eastleigh.

A day in the life of a Driver Technician – Mobility Aids Service will include.

• To deliver, assemble, demonstrate and collect equipment to and from both service user’s homes and establishments.
• Ensuring standards of service as specified by the company are met and where possible exceeded.
• Delivery and collection of equipment across a wide span of the greater Eastleigh area, with journeys from London to Southampton.
• Working closely with the Logistics Manager, Service Assistants and other Driver Technicians to contribute to the smooth operation of our equipment distribution service.
• Providing support to other members of the department ensuring that the operation complies with, and where possible, exceeds customer expectations, contractual arrangements, service levels and overall company requirements whilst delivering target profitability.

  To be a successful Driver Technician – Mobility Aids Service you’ll need.

• To be a confident and safe driver with van driving experience and knowledge of Eastleigh and surrounding areas.
• Driving experience as a multi-drop driver and dealing with the general public daily.
• To be a people person, with good customer facing skills and able to work as part of a team supporting members of the public.
• Experience with cleaning, servicing and moving equipment.
• Knowledge of a warehouse environment.
• Good DIY skills and are physically able to lift and carry loads (in line with the Health and Safety Manual Handling criteria).
• A Full driving licence holder with a driving licence which allows you to operate a manual transmission vehicle (please note that, due to vehicle insurance policy requirements, applicants must be aged 21 or over and must have held their licence for a minimum of two full years).
