The Corporate Portfolio Management (CPM) Dept is responsible for (i) providing a corporate and strategic level view of IFC’s investment portfolio, including granular data and analytics of portfolio trends; (ii) providing thought leadership on how IFC can create a portfolio that balances profitability, risk and development impact; (iii) systematically capturing lessons of experience and ensuring they are fed into IFC’s strategy and new investments, with the goal of improving IFC’s performance; and (vi) managing the LIBOR transition process for IFC’s existing debt portfolio.

IFC’s 2030 ambitions as outlined in the capital increase commitments, and implementation of the IFC 3.0 strategy require that IFC Operations have the necessary tools, processes, and systems to ensure the highest quality of delivery to IFC clients and to maximize internal efficiencies. To achieve this goal, in CPM Systems vertical is focused on continuous business process improvement, operational systems, risk management, and change management. The Core Operations Systems Replacement (COSR) project has been established as the project to replace existing IFC’s legacy operations systems (iDesk/iPortal) with a new and modern system which will be one stop workspace for IFC operations.

CPM’s Core Operations Systems (CPMCO) is looking for a dynamic, adaptable, high performing ETC to lead the systems documentation for implementation of COSR.  The ETC will report to the PMO Lead in CPMCO. The ETC will be based in Washington, D.C., and will be responsible for the duties and accountabilities set out below. 

Duties & Accountabilities: 

The ETC for COSR Documentation will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the development, maintenance, and organization of comprehensive documentation for COSR ensuring that all relevant information regarding the COSR and its functionalities is accurately recorded, regularly updated, and readily accessible to relevant IFC users. The ETC for COSR Documentation will be responsible for the following tasks:

•  Develop and implement a robust documentation strategy for the COSR, ensuring that all essential information is captured comprehensively and ready at the time for COSR roll-out
•  Create, review, and update online help, tip-sheets and other system-related documentation as needed.
•  Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information about systems, processes, and workflows to maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation.
•  Establish and enforce documentation standards, templates, and guidelines to ensure consistency and clarity in all system-related documentation.
•  Work closely with IT teams, subject matter experts, and stakeholders to understand system functionalities and translate technical information into user-friendly language.
•  Regularly assess the effectiveness of existing documentation, identify areas for improvement, and implement necessary updates to enhance usability and accessibility.
•  Ensure that all documentation is version-controlled and stored in a secure and accessible repository.
•  Develop and maintain a comprehensive documentation plan, outlining the scope, objectives, and timelines for creating and updating system-related documents.
•  Collaborate with the COSR Learning team to create engaging and effective learning materials.
•  Collaborate with IT teams and subject matter experts to obtain in-depth knowledge of systems and processes for accurate documentation.
•  Create and update user manuals, FAQs, and other relevant documentation for various systems within the organization.
•  Organize and categorize documentation in a centralized repository to facilitate easy access and retrieval.
•  Ensure that all documentation adheres to the organization’s branding guidelines and formatting standards.
•  Review existing documentation for accuracy, completeness, and clarity, and conduct periodic audits to identify outdated or irrelevant content.
•  Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to gather feedback on documentation and implement necessary revisions.
•  Train and support team members in documenting processes and systems effectively.
•  Stay informed about industry best practices for documentation and recommend improvements to the organization’s documentation processes.

 

Selection Criteria

 

•  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Technical Writing, or related field.
•  Minimum of 10 years’ experience in technical writing, system documentation, or similar roles.
•  Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical information into clear and concise documentation for non-technical audiences.
•  Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
•  Proficiency in using documentation tools and software.
•  Knowledge of version control systems and documentation management best practices.
•  Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
•  Problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
