The Vice Presidency for Corporate Support (COSVP) integrates Budget and Business Administration, Strategy, HR, Communication, and Information & Technology functions under one umbrella to enable the execution of IFC’s management and operational needs in the best way. As part of the VPU, the Strategic Initiatives, Analytics & Knowledge Management (CSI) department exists to (1) drive innovation and continuous improvement within Corporate Support VPU and (2) together with all other functions within our VPU and in partnership with other relevant units across IFC, support the Management Team and the rest of our senior leadership in designing and implementing the institutional change needed to achieve IFC’s strategic objectives and growth ambitions.

Within the context of the broader Change Management function, Change Practitioners actively augment the team to provide hands-on support to emerging strategic initiatives, applying the standards, approaches and know-how of the Change Management practice. These initiatives could include process improvements, restructuring activities, work modernization programs and other optimization projects. In each case, the change has been identified as having a significant impact on the institution, thereby requiring additional support.

The selected candidate will act as a Change Practitioner to internal clients, working closely with the Change Management Team and under the supervision of the Senior Operations Officer (Change Lead).

The Change Practitioner is expected to conduct the following tasks:
•  Provide hands-on support and advisory services to the project team.
•  Complete change management assessments
•  Assess current awareness of the change and identify areas of resistance.
•  Develop a change management and communications plan, in close coordination with the communications team.
•  Identify learning needs and accompany training programs.
•  Create user stories and other assets to support implementation and adoption of the project.
•  Create and manage stakeholder groups, including change agent or change champion networks.
•  Identify and manage adoption, usage and reinforcement of change.
•  Provide leadership and direction to enhance effectiveness of change.
•  Identify, analyze and prepare risk-mitigation tactics
•  The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in supporting change initiatives, be PROSCI certified, have effective communications and interpersonal skills, be able to work with and through others and be able to perform autonomously and flexibly in ambiguous situations. 

 

Selection Criteria

•  A bachelor’s degree in business, international development, social sciences, human resources or public policy.
•  Professional certification in Project Management and or Change Management, preferably PROSCI.
•  At least five years of relevant work experience, in delivering successful change programs.
•  Experience in supporting facility modernization, future of work or establishing new ways of working is an advantage
•  Familiarity with WBG and IFC’s strategic priorities and operations is an advantage.
•  Excellent communications skills as well as MS Office expertise including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, Project and Teams
•  Excellent English written and oral communications skills
•  Flexibility, responsiveness, and ability to manage multiple activities to tight deadlines.
•  Strong client focus and excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills, with a positive and collaborative attitude and proven capacity to build and manage effective relationships (both laterally and with senior staff).
