The IFC Controllers Department (CNT) is responsible for effectively and efficiently managing IFC’s Financial Operations (loan, equity and short-term finance operations, and back-office treasury support operations), Financial Reporting (including portfolio review, investment accounting and accounting policy), Internal Controls, and Financial Systems, Integration and Projects. The Department comprises approximately 125 diverse and highly skilled staff, based in Washington DC, and Chennai.

The Treasury Support Operations Division (CNTTR) within IFC Controller’s provides back-office and accounting services for all IFC Treasury activities. CNTTR is additionally responsible for processing and accounting all IFC cash transactions, capital share transactions, and operational support in the development of IFC Treasury’s new business initiatives and products. The CNTTR team is in Washington DC (HQ) and Chennai (India) and delivers its work program on a cross support basis. The team providing cross support interacts with colleagues in Washington on a day–to–day basis and ensures that the support operations are successfully delivered.

IFC Treasury Support Operations unit in Washington DC (CNTTR) is seeking a Consultant
(ETC) to be a business analyst for the treasury system replacement project (TANGO).
The position requires knowledge of treasury products, treasury operations and financial systems, with experience in implementing treasury systems or upgrades. The Consultant will be required to work with various team functions and become a fully functional team member within a short timeframe. The position requires the ability to establish productive relationships with staff at all levels within the team and across various units of IFC.

Duties & Responsibilities:

The Consultant will work as part of a team of professionals to meet the group’s responsibilities as they relate to delivery of back-office and accounting functions for all IFC Treasury activities, and will report to the CNTTR Team Lead. Responsibilities will include the following:

• Conduct detailed discussions with business users to gather and document business requirements, ensuring a clear understanding of current processes and future state.
• Perform comprehensive gap analysis between the existing treasury platform (Summit) and the new platform (Murex), identifying discrepancies and areas needing customization.
• Develop detailed process maps for current and future state workflows, ensuring all business processes are accurately captured and optimized for implementation.
• Collaborate with IT teams to define data migration strategies, ensuring seamless and accurate transfer of data from the legacy system to new system.
• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, including unit, integration, and user acceptance testing, to ensure the new platform meets business and technical specifications.
• Serve as the primary liaison between business users and the technical team, ensuring clear and consistent communication throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintain thorough documentation of all project phases, including requirements, design, testing, and deployment, providing a comprehensive reference for future support and enhancements.

 

Selection Criteria

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.  Master’s degree in related field is a plus.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst in financial services, with a focus on treasury systems and Murex.
• Strong understanding of treasury products, processes, and financial instruments.
• Experience with project management methodologies and tools such as Agile and Jira.
• Proficiency in data analysis and migration techniques.
• Ability to translate business requirements to functional specifications and/or system configurations.
• Competent in office technology tools, including Word, Excel, and Power Point.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and can work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
• Self-starting, highly disciplined and team-oriented individual with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Fluency in written and spoken English required.
