IFC’s Human Resources (CHR) Department provides strategic partnership to the business to develop and implement workforce strategies. The HR department includes three Centers of Expertise (COEs) — Strategy & Organizational Effectiveness, Global Talent Acquisition & Mobility, and Talent & Incentives – and two Client Services teams providing support to HQ and regions.
IFC HR Strategy and Organizational Effectiveness (CHRSE) is seeking an Extended Term (ET) Consultant (equivalent as an HR Analyst), based in Washington, D.C. The candidate will report to the Manager, Strategy and Organizational Effectiveness and will provide analytical support across the respective team.
Duties and Accountabilities:
The ETC, HR Analyst will support the Senior HR Officers in the delivery and implementation of strategic HR programs and provide a full range of analytical support to the Manager, Strategy and Organizational Effectiveness. The role involves managing HR databases, producing periodic and ad hoc reports, and developing and maintaining HR information and reporting systems. Key duties and accountabilities include:
• Conduct research, analyze, and interpret data using existing HR information systems (e.g., PeopleSoft, IFC Analytics Dashboard). Prepare data tables, summary reports, and presentations, including independent interpretation and write-up of analysis and recommendations with minimal supervision.
• Provide cross-cutting support within the Strategy and Organizational Effectiveness team by developing compelling visual stories through data analysis and interpretation to facilitate HR and business decisions.
• Collaborate with team members to develop best practice reports, presentations, and metrics that promote consistent approaches and practices in HR.
• Maintain project documentation, develop project plans, and produce status reports on key HR initiatives.
• Anticipate issues and areas for improvement, providing constructive recommendations to enhance HR processes and systems.
• Develop and enhance tools and resources, such as instructional guides, process maps, data visualizations, and knowledge products, to support efficient implementation of HR initiatives.
• Proactively gather, analyze, and prepare data-driven insights for presentations, strengthening HR’s alignment with IFC’s business objectives.
• Support other activities within the Strategy and Organizational Effectiveness team as needed.
Selection Criteria
• Master’s degree in human resources management, business, finance, statistics, or a related field, with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in a global company or organization; or a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
• Strong analytical skills including the ability to assimilate extensive data and provide actionable recommendations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and SharePoint) and knowledge of data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Excellent organizational and administrative skills with keen attention to detail and ability to follow up systematically on a broad set of initiatives and requests.
• Strong written and oral communication skills, including presentation and facilitation skills, with the ability to handle a wide range of information in English.
• Proven ability to develop and maintain working relationships across all levels of staff and managers.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and to effectively manage delivery risks.
• High energy with solid ability to anticipate needs, multitask, and respond quickly to requests in a fast-paced environment.
• Capacity to work efficiently under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent team and collaborative skills across boundaries.
