IFC’s Human Resources (CHR) Department provides strategic partnership to the business to develop and implement workforce strategies. The HR department includes three Centers of Expertise (COEs) — Strategy & Organizational Effectiveness, Global Talent Acquisition & Mobility, and Talent & Incentives – and two Client Services teams providing support to HQ and regions.
IFC HR Strategy and Organizational Effectiveness (CHRSE) is seeking an Extended Term (ET) Consultant (equivalent as an HR Analyst), based in Washington, D.C. The candidate will report to the Manager, Strategy and Organizational Effectiveness and will provide support in developing and implementing a comprehensive knowledge management strategy, overseeing content creation and platform maintenance.
Duties and Accountabilities
The ETC, Knowledge Management Analyst will support the implementation of HR Knowledge Management Strategy and help influence organizational change through strategic content and knowledge programs. The role involves supporting various key functions such as strategy development, content management, platform oversight, and collaboration. Key duties and accountabilities include:
• Collaborate with HR subject matter experts to develop knowledge products, including monthly newsletters and intranet updates.
• Provide data-driven reports on information usage to guide decisions on content and channels.
• Draft, curate, and publish newsletters for IFC staff and internal HR updates.
• Develop content for e-Courses and collaboration tools to promote knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate with the HR Communications Officer to ensure consistent branding across Knowledge Management channels.
• Manage the HR Intranet/SharePoint hub, ensuring content accuracy, file storage, and accessibility.
• Oversee the IFC HR Knowledge-Sharing platform, ensuring content is current and easy to find.
• Establish and monitor best practices for information storage and sharing on platforms like SharePoint and OneDrive.
• Coordinate a network of knowledge management champions within IFC HR.
• Analyze intranet and newsletter analytics to optimize content effectiveness.
• Liaise with IBRD HR, Information Technology, IFC Communications, IFC Corporate Learning and Knowledge Management teams to align on best practices.
• Support the team and department with event management, including retreat planning, knowledge forums, and workshops.
• Provide capacity building for HR colleagues, particularly new hires, on knowledge management protocols.
Selection Criteria
• Master’s degree in Human Resources, International Relations, Communications, Information Technology, or a related field, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in knowledge management, communications, and content management, preferably in an international organization or multinational company.
• Proven experience designing and driving content and knowledge programs, focusing on content strategy, management, information architecture, analytics, collection, workflow, and adoption.
• Proficiency in Adobe Campaign, MS SharePoint, Microsoft Office products, Canva, and graphic design.
• Strong oral and written communication, presentation, and editing skills in English.
• Demonstrated professional integrity, willingness and flexibility to engage in all aspects of HR work, from identification and design to implementation.
• Self-motivated and creative, with excellent organizational skills. High energy with solid ability to anticipate needs, multitask, and respond quickly to requests in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven ability to develop and maintain working relationships across all levels of staff and managers.
