As part of IFC’s dynamic and market-oriented Treasury, the front office is looking for an extended-term temporary (ETT) who can help support the activities of the CFIGA Group which includes the Cross Cutting Advisory Unit (CIA) as well as the Valuation and Analytics Units (TVA) and additional VPU’s Strategic Focus groups. The main activities of the groups are: Advisory in Local Currency& Capital Markets Development, Cross-VPU solution including Knowledge Management, Operational Risk reporting, and Valuation and analytical support for Analytical support of Front office teams. The Front Office is conducting a search for the ETT position as a team Assistant. The position will be located at IFC’s Washington DC headquarters.

• Work as the departmental team assistant.
• Support the 2 units in all administrative tasks.
• Provide high-quality administrative and logistical support to CFIGA.
• Support CIA on the delivery of their Advisory Program including the Capital Markets Education Initiatives. Some activities include recruitment for the IFC-MI CMP, support on the organization of events, preparation of communication brochures, documentation and tracking of applications, program website maintenance, etc.
• Schedule meetings and events, independently resolving scheduling conflicts, making room reservations and videoconference bookings, organizing food services and visitor badges, becoming the liaison with key events and workshops.
• Become the VPU focal point for the submission of the Quarterly Operational Risk Management Report thru the Operational Risk System.
• Ensure all IT related activities for the organization of events, including managing the materials, printouts and independently handle any issues that might arise.
• Prepare and process contracts in Admin Portal, follow up if complications arise and archive relevant documentation.
• Ensure proper onboarding of new team members (consultants/staff) including UPIs and IT equipment requests, and desk readiness.
• Support the Unit on ensuring that the relevant contacts are updated on the Partners Portal.
• Assist with contract payments on Admin Portal.
• Provide backup to the other departmental program assistants.
• Liaise with an extensive network of internal and external clients.
• Help document procedures and processes.
• Facilitate ad-hoc requests.
• Perform other administrative tasks as needed.

 

Selection Criteria

• Applicants must have a BS or a high school diploma with a minimum of 8-year experience in a similar role. Experience in conducting similar tasks within IFC or the WBG is a plus.
• High level of discretion with the ability to deal with sensitive or highly confidential matters.
• Experience working under pressure with a demonstrated capacity to multi-task, handle concurrent activities, and establish priorities.
• Demonstrated excellent administrative, analytical, and organizational skills, with attention to detail, ability to prioritize and work with minimum supervision.
• Ability to interact with stakeholders at different levels of seniority.
• Proficiency in working with Word.
• Excellent communication skills in English (both oral and written), with the ability to draft a variety of correspondence, proofread, and edit materials. French and/or Spanish language is a plus.
• Flexibility and willingness to work extended hours at short notice as required.
