Our Mooroopna kindergarten has been running in the local community for over 70 years. We are a sessional kindergarten that runs Tuesday to Frida,y offering 15 hours of funded kindergarten to children aged 3, and 20 hours of kindergarten to children in the year before school. In this true casual role based in Mooroopna, you’ll work with the Mooroopna Kindergarten team to develop, implement, and evaluate a high quality, developmentally and culturally appropriate play and learning environment for children. As part of our Northern Victoria team, you’ll report to the main Teacher, and will work during school terms only in a casual basis, supporting unexpected leave, training, and School Readiness Funding backfill.

You have significant experience in early childhood programs, a ‘toolkit’ of strategies, and the ability to think on your feet which allows you to find solutions to complex situations. Your infectious enthusiasm for your job will see you actively seeking out families in need of support, and you build rapport and relationships easily with children and adults from diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds, particularly Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families.

This position is designated under the Multiagency Risk Assessment and Management framework (MARAM), which requires mandated MARAM Family Violence Screening & Identification training and responsibilities. If successful in the role, you will need to undertake MARAM training and provide evidence of completion.
