Based in Mons, Belgium you will join the Agency as we embark on a journey to transform our IT services to support NATO’s Digital Endeavour.
The NATO Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) is responsible for planning and executing all lifecycle management activities for cyber security. In executing this responsibility, NCSC provides specialist cyber security-related services covering the spectrum of scientific, technical, acquisition, operations, maintenance, and sustainment support, throughout the lifecycle of NATO Communications and Information Systems (CIS).
The Crypto Capability Validation Cell as the NATO Cryptographic Installation Authority is responsible for advising, certifying, and implementing end-to-end new secure system installations and cryptographic facilities, including site surveys in support of project.
You will provide project planning, coordination, testing and resource management support, lead on site survey, integration/installation and inspection of cryptographic systems for secure end to end services, act as focal point for subject matter expertise helpdesk in support of cryptographic issues and build and test prototype Information Assurance designs to support new/modified requirements such as deployable secure CIS.

About you
We are looking for a talented and knowledgeable Crypto Validation Engineer with a Bachelor’s degree at a nationally recognised/certified University in a related discipline and 2 years of post-related experience.
A different qualification coupled with particularly relevant experience may also be considered.
You should also have:
· Good knowledge and experience (at least 2 years) in the following areas:
ü Security Accreditation of major CIS acquisition and/or development projects for a large organization
ü Security risk assessment methodologies and tools
ü Planning, design and implementation of security components of major CIS
ü COMSEC/INFOSEC engineering of information or communication systems, including fully up-to-date technical knowledge related to future developments in the field of COMSEC equipment and systems, as well as INFOSEC practices and familiarity with related international, commercial/industrial standards
ü Working experience in the Security Accreditation domain and change management related to the implementation of major Communication and Information Systems (CIS) acquisition and/or development projects for a large organization.
ü Crypto systems and techniques
ü Public key infrastructure technology
Knowledge of English, both written and spoken, is essential.
