The Consultant will conduct action research for the purpose of crafting a case study on AfDB’s role in mainstreaming scaling in funder organizations. This case study will analyze how financing instruments and operational policies can be harnessed holistically to increase the Bank’s development impact. The consultant will write a comprehensive case study note on how scaling up has been integrated, with specific considerations on interventions in transition states and the use of TSF as a financing instrument.

The recommendations will provide a basis for more effective project design with scalability in mind, facilitate scaling in existing interventions, and establish means of assessing scalability in all interventions.
