The main objective of the ZiZaBoNa PPG is to facilitate the integration of solar PV and wind generation from Botswana and Namibia, in addition to hydropower from Zambia and Zimbabwe. This is in the context of the ZiZaBoNa regional transmission interconnector’s potential to contribute to the decarbonisation of the regional power system, whilst also decongesting the central corridor of the Southern African Power Pool (SAPP).
