Project Description:
FHI 360 Kazakhstan is seeking applications for the position of Community Engagement officer for the Meeting Targets and Maintaining Epidemic Control (EpiC) project in Kazakhstan.
Meeting Targets and Maintaining Epidemic Control (EpiC) is an eight-year global project funded by the U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). EpiC is dedicated to achieving and maintaining HIV epidemic control and the project provides strategic technical assistance (TA) and direct service delivery (DSD) to break through barriers to 95-95-95 and promote self-reliant management of national HIV programs by improving HIV case-finding, prevention, and treatment programming. FHI 360 through EpiC in Kazakhstan focuses on HIV case finding in the community, and treatment initiation, adherence, and retention support for people living with HIV (PLHIV), with a focus on select key population (KP) groups. While EpiC takes a regional approach in the overarching management of the Central Asia project, each country has its own respective targets, priority focus areas and expected deliverables.
Job Description
The Community Engagement Officer will provide leadership on a wide spectrum of client-based differentiated service delivery strategies and interventions for men who have sex with men (MSM) and people who are transgender (TG) that will strengthen HIV prevention, care, treatment, and support across the cascade to help reach the 95:95:95 goals by 2030.

The position will ideally be based in Pavlodar or Ust-Kamenogorsk, or Almaty as the second option, Kazakhstan and work out of the FHI 360 Country office. Preference is for Kazakh national and internal candidates.
Suitably qualified candidates openly living with HIV and/or who are representative of the key populations affected by HIV are also actively encouraged to apply.
