Overview:
FHI 360 has an exciting internship opportunity for a student interested in growing their skills within the international development sector. Under close supervision, an Intern will perform entry level professional duties which will provide the opportunity for professional training in various functional areas throughout the organization. Internship assignments serve to offer practical experience and broad exposure to a global nonprofit development organization.
The Meeting Targets and Maintaining Epidemic Control (EpiC) project is an eight-year (2019–2027) global initiative, funded by PEPFAR and USAID, that provides strategic technical assistance and direct service delivery to achieve control of the HIV epidemic among key and priority populations and strengthen global health security. EpiC is dedicated to achieving and maintaining HIV epidemic control and the project provides strategic technical assistance (TA) and direct service delivery (DSD) to break through barriers to 95-95-95 and promote self-reliant management of national HIV programs by improving HIV case-finding, prevention, and treatment programming. The project is led by FHI 360 with core partners Population Services International (PSI), Palladium Group, and Right to Care. While originally designed as a HIV program, EpiC has been modified to accept COVID-19 funding to prevent, prepare for, respond to and bolster health systems to address COVID-19 and other global health security threats. Currently, EpiC and its consortium members are implementing HIV activities in 30+ countries and COVID-19 activities in 45+ countries.
