Organizational Background

The Preparatory Commission for the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization with its headquarters in Vienna, Austria is the international organization setting up the global verification system foreseen under the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty (CTBT), which is the treaty banning any nuclear-weapon-test explosion or any other nuclear explosion. The Treaty provides for a global verification regime, including a network of 337 stations worldwide, a communications system, an international data centre and on-site inspections to monitor compliance.

Organizational Setting

This position is located in the International Monitoring Systems (IMS) Division that applies engineering and science to develop, instantiate, and to operate measurement stations around the world as well as to receive, process and disseminate the data collected by these stations as well as related analysis products.

Reporting Lines

Under the direct supervision of the Head of ERP, to:

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Coordinate and perform SAP HR/HCM, SuccessFactors, Travel systems implementation, maintenance, and support.
  2. Conduct requirement gathering and blueprinting, change impact assessments, and root cause analyses with stakeholders. Configure and develop SAP HR/HCM, Travel solutions according to organizational design and best industry practices.
  3. Perform release and configuration management, compile and maintain technical and functional documentations; monitor and report on incident statistics including system and service provider performance and document and test back-up and recovery/contingency procedures.
  4. Perform ERP application implementation, maintenance, and support for all Enterprise resource planning (ERP) Human Resources and travel modules, master data, self-service.
  5. Coordinate ERP enhancements end-to-end and with close involvement of all stakeholders.
  6. Provide technical and functional advice in support of CTBTO’s initiatives to improve its operational/administrative processes.
  7. Perform risk management and monitoring of the adequacy of the ERP performance with regard to the business needs of the Organization.
  8. Support implementation of innovative solutions, such as, automation of data processing, automation of management reports, development of dashboards to enhance operational efficiencies within the Organisation;
  9. Align SAP support processes and activities with the CTBTO IT Service Management implementation.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned.

Education

  • University degree in business administration, information technology/computer science, or related fields.

Work Experience and Qualifications

  • At least five (5) years of relevant work experience, in SAP products implementation and maintenance;
  • Proven functional/technical professional experience with at least three (3) years of full SAP life cycle implementations is required;
  • Proven experience in project management is required, PRINCE2 certification is desirable;
  • Proven experience managing IT services is required, ITIL certification is desirable;
  • Experience with SAP HR configuration and customizing, including but not limited to Non Profit Organization (NPO) payroll, Time Management, CATS, ESS/MSS, Work Schedules/Organisation management and relevant SAP SuccessFactors modules is required;
  • Excellent understanding of HR/HCM processes and their business values drivers to be able to support key stakeholders is required;
  • Understanding the HR Business requirements AS-IS and TO-BE process flows document development and systems implementations /support is required;
  • Experience with SAP Travel, Concur is desirable;
  • Official SAP Certification (e.g. SAP Certified Application Associate – SAP HCM) is desirable.
  • Experience in S/4 HANA, SAP BTP, SAP HANA analytics is highly desirable.

Languages

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English are essential.
  • Knowledge of other official CTBTO languages (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian and Spanish) is desirable.

CTBTO offers an attractive compensation and benefits package in accordance with the policies of the International Civil Service Commission.
