You have:

  • Two years community college diploma in office administration or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in French and English (reading, writing, and speaking).
  • Recent experience in providing coordination and administration support which includes coordinating the maintenance of policies, forms and templates and ensuring their accuracy.
  • An understanding of administration procedures and activities, preferably in a granting and/or research environment.
  • An enhanced ability and experience in developing and maintaining collaborative professional relationships.

You are:

  • A skilled communicator with great interpersonal skills and the ability to provide instructions, advice, guidance on operational and administrative activities.
  • Competent in planning, organizing, and coordinating daily activities while paying close attention to details.
  • Resourceful and dependable, able to work under pressure and meet deadlines while juggling competing priorities.
  • A problem solver who can get to the root cause of an issue and apply that knowledge to support efficiency in divisional operations.
  • Adept at using Microsoft Office with particular attention to SharePoint.
  • A team player within a multidisciplinary group of people from diverse cultures.

you are interested in:

  • Providing operational and administrative support to the Director and Managers.
  • Coordination and logistical support for a busy division.
  • Performing a support role in the financial and administrative assessment of IDRC’s grantees, as well as in the Division’s month-end and year-end financial closure processes.
  • Playing a leadership role in the information management functions for the Division.
