The Role

This critical leadership role comes at a time of growth and ambition for Plan International Pilipinas. As the executive director of a local foundation, which has recently transitioned from Plan International Federation, you will lead the country team, drive Plan International Pilipinas’ vision, and strategy for organisational sustainability whilst building a strong impactful program portfolio for community and a robust funding pipeline.

You will lead transformative change and you relish the prospect of representing Plan International Pilipinas to the highest levels of government, civil society, institutional and corporate donors, and the international media, cementing Plan’s global brand throughout the Philippines, supported by your successful national team.

You will lead a motivated, values-driven cohesive cross functional team to ensure legal compliance and be ready and able to respond to emergency and development needs of the most marginalised children, especially girls.

Skills Required

The executive director role offers huge scope to develop and grow Plan International nationally and capitalize on untapped funding opportunities. As such, the ideal candidate will be an energetic, vibrant, and well networked collaborative local leader with proven experience contracting grants, developing, implementing, and monitoring programs, and leading similar national teams. Crucially your career demonstrates sustainable growth delivered on organisational and fundraising objectives. To excel in this critical leadership role, you also will need:

  • Significant experience securing funds from corporate and institutional donors
  • Experience establishing relationships with community, NGOs, corporates, and the media
  • Excellent public representation and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong experience in advocacy, influencing, and program delivery
  • Experience working with, and reporting to boards
  • Native level Tagalog and good English language skills are essential
