Family Changemaking Intern for Ashoka Indonesia
About the Role

Since 2022, Ashoka Indonesia together with its key partners initiated the Family Changemaking Movement (Gerakan Pembaharu Keluarga – GAHARU Keluarga) as one of major pathways in achieving Everyone a Changemaker vision. Gaharu Keluarga aims to strengthen family ecosystem in Indonesia as a solid foundation for children mastering empathy and every youth practicing changemaking through family-led initiative.
About the Role
- Provide assistance for day-to-day activities for Family Changemaking (Gaharu Keluarga) workplan
- Help Purpose 1 Manager to develop knowledge sharing activities for Gaharu Keluarga and EACH movement
- Provide technical assistance for Purpose 1 team in developing Family Changemaking Movement from initiation to closure for multiple and simultaneous projects
- Assist regular two-way engagements such as discussion, idea-exchange forum, events, etc; and
- Provide assistance for Purpose 1 team in handling ongoing stakeholder engagement and ensuring improvement of the journey in liaison with other partners
KPI roles:
- Involve in monthly coordination meeting for Gaharu Keluarga networks
- Involve in series of Kelas Belajar Gaharu Keluarga
- Involve in tools and content development for Gaharu Keluarga
- Support any activities related to Gaharu Keluarga and EACH movement
Required Skills and Experience
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Required 1-2 years of prior experience program development and implementation.
- Able to work on own initiative, proactively and independently and under minimal supervision.
- Strong organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented and able to set clear guidelines and deadlines.

To be able to innately ‘get’ this, candidates should have a broad and inquisitive intellectual and a thinking pattern that connects the dots between historical trends and current social context.
- Entrepreneurship/Intrapreneurship: Compelled to take creative initiative and ownership (e.g. founding an organization or company, starting a movement, or re-shaping the work of an existing organization). Demonstrates relentless and realistic how-to-thinking and passion for seeing their ideas come to life.
- Emotional and Social Intelligence: Ability to work efficiently and respectfully in teams, putting organizational/team goal first (personal glory second).
- Ethical Fiber: Exceptionally strong ethical behavior. Is self-reflective and has strong empathy skills. Trustworthy.
