This is a part-time maximum-term position until July 2025, working 7 days per fortnight, 7.6 hours per day, including rotating weekends and public holidays. Standard days and rates listed below:

 

WEEK-1: Mon Tue Fri Sun

WEEK-2: Mon Tue Sunday

  • Weekdays – 2pm-10pm $41.52
  • Saturdays – 11am-7pm $62.28
  • Sundays – 11am-7pm $83.04
  • Public Holidays (as above depending on the day) $103.80

You will be based in Gold Coast, and you’ll provide outreach short term case management support to women and children experiencing Domestic and Family Violence and/or homelessness because of DFV. This role will be a part of an After-Hours response team working afternoons and weekends. As part of our DFV team, you’ll report to Team Leader, Sylia Planing.

 

You will make a difference by:

  • Providing immediate support to women and children impacted by Domestic and Family Violence
  • Conducting risk assessments where Domestic and Family violence is identified.
  • Developing strong networks and referral pathways to support desired outcomes.
  • Collecting and recording information for the purpose of accountability, evaluation, and reporting

Bringing your best every day, means:

  • Experience working with women, children and young people who have experienced domestic and family violence.
  • Knowledge of best practice, professional standards, and relevant research in the field of domestic and family violence
  • Demonstrated understanding of the ways in which cultural contexts influence practice approaches.
  • Current valid driver’s licence
  • A Bachelor of Social Work, Psychology or relevant Human Service Qualification and/or significant experience managing a similar service
