Where you come in:
In this part-time, permanent position (4 days / 30.4 hours per week), you’ll work with children, young people and families across the Mobile Youth Outreach service, as components of the Short Term Remand Pilot Project. You’ll assist in the delivery of mobile programs that provide school and community based assertive outreach, individual casework support for young people at risk of engaging / re-engaging with Youth Justice. You will also organise community events in the Wagga Wagga region. Reporting to the Team Leader, you’ll utilise group facilitation skills, engage with the local community and develop their confidence in our support network.
The hours for the role will be flexible, with shifts from 9am – 5pm and 11am – 7pm.

You’re truly passionate about standing up for children and young people. You respond calmly to crisis situations, and your background is ideally in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, or a similar field. You enjoy being out in the community and thrive on meeting new people and building relationships. You have strong cultural knowledge which helps you to engage with families, and you’re creative and comfortable working with children of all ages. Finally, you’re an independent self-starter who is happy to work remotely when not delivering programs.
