Danish Refugee Council (DRC) is a leading protection agency with a mandate to protect, advocate and promote durable solutions for displacement affected populations.
DRC has been operating in Ukraine since 2014, currently DRC employs over 400 staff in Ukraine and will continue significant scale-up in 2023 to implement emergency response in the Protection, Livelihoods, Shelter/NFIs and Humanitarian Disarmament and Peacebuilding (humanitarian mine action) sectors, using direct interventions, support to duty bearers and civil society organizations (CSOs), and partnerships with CSOs. DRC will continue and adapt its durable solutions portfolio to the evolving context.
Responsibilities
- Work with incoming primary documentation;
- Control over compliance with the order of registration of primary accounting documents, their storage, display of data in the accounting program;
- Reconciliation of mutual settlements with counterparties;
- Control of the timeliness of receipt and display of primary documents in accounting, archiving;
- Accounting of fixed assets, TMC, charitable assistance, settlements with counterparties, business trips;
- Participation in the inventory.
Required experience and competencies:
- 2 years of experience as an accountant, deputy chief accountant;
- Knowledge of PSBO, tax legislation
- Confident user of PC and accounting programs, MEDOC, Internet, Client-Bank
- Knowledge of accounting, tax accounting, correspondence of accounts
- Knowledge of current tax legislation of Ukraine
- Ability to work with large volumes of documents and information
- Experience of working with a staff of more than 200 people
- Attentiveness, decency, responsibility,
- Conducting banking operations;
- the procedure for accounting for the movement of goods and material values, fixed assets, MNMA, MNA;
- Conditions of taxation of individuals;
- Keeping an inventory of cash, goods and material values, receivables / payables;
- Drawing up contracts with counterparties, including according to the CPC, the procedure for keeping documents on business trips,
- Work with travel documents, fuel arrival / consumption, PMM;
- Computer skills (Word, Excel, Acrobat, 1-C, BAF)
- Fluency in Ukrainian, English is an advantage.
Education:
- Higher education — accounting, finance, accounting and auditing;

Contract length: 3 month renewable after satisfactory probation period.
Level: I non Manager
Designation of Duty Station: Mykolaiv – Full time based
Start date: As soon as possible.
Salary and conditions will be in accordance with Danish Refugee Council’s Terms of Employment for national staff.
