This position is in support of CHAI’s Infectious Diseases, Research and Labs (IDRL) access program which negotiates price reductions for drugs and diagnostics, customizes products for resource-limited settings, and works to broaden the supply base and increase the quality of these treatments. Specifically, this position will lead in budgeting, financial analysis, reporting and overall grant financial management for IDRL access program.
Key measures of success in this role include: timely and accurate reporting on project costs; detailed understanding of variances to budget and forecast and communication of that information to non-finance partners; effective and proactive partnering with our internal clients and external partners; a demonstrated command of the underlying operational and financial content of the projects supported; and proactive identification and resolution of the accounting, financial planning, and financial compliance issues.
The Manager must be able to function independently and flexibly in a fast-paced environment, often working under tight donor-driven deadlines. CHAI places great value on relevant personal qualities: resourcefulness, responsibility, tenacity, independence, energy, and work ethic.
Flexible to base location in other countries where CHAI operates pending leadership approval.
