The IFC Controllers Department is responsible for effectively and efficiently managing IFC’s Financial Operations (loan, equity and short-term finance operations, and back-office treasury support operations), Financial Reporting (including reporting and analysis, portfolio review, investment accounting and accounting policy), Internal Controls, and Financial Integration, Systems and Projects (CNTFS). The Department comprises approximately 140 diverse and highly skilled staff, based in Washington DC, and Chennai.
CNTFS unit is seeking a Financial Analyst / Business Process Analyst to manage the work program related to program management office, systems and automation, including (i) manage the cross-departmental coordination on smaller and larger projects involving changes to the CNT IT ecosystem and profitability analytics; (ii) manage the creation of efficiencies through automation and streamlining of processes and deliverables; (iii) assure IT systems projects are under budget and comply with business requirements and governance framework(s) and (iv) support CNT systems.
This position reports to the Head of the CNTFS unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for various aspects of CNTFS work program: support the blended finance (CNTBF) business team in their automation initiatives, and implementation of IT systems and upgrades, as well as in the implementation of new initiatives and financial products to ensure that data is recorded accurately and timely; automation development & support for business requirements/projects initiated for the Controller’s business; providing management and financial accounting support for IFC financial, and reporting systems, designing datamining and analytical tools; and providing input into technology/automation development, actively managing project management office for various CNT and corporate initiatives.
Duties & Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for the automation development & support for business requirements/projects initiated for the CNT units. He/ She is expected to independently undertake and deliver on specific substantive pieces of work assigned, in coordination with the relevant teams in CNT and across the World Bank Group.
• Provide support to CNT’s various existing and future business automations including Blended Finance related initiatives, transformations, and big-ticket institutional projects like loan system replacement, Investran Upgrade, Core operations system replacement etc. in close coordination with different stakeholders, and the IT support teams.
• Understand the business requirements and challenges to translate into Automation Project requirements. The person should be able to break down the business process into smaller work break down structure for automation.
• Support the stabilization and growth of the Innovation/Automation programs, with IFC supported tools (such as Automation Anywhere).
• Design Optimal Solution for the business requirements and work closely with all the stakeholders including Technology/Business leads to approve the design.
• Plan and Execute the Development of assigned use cases and work with all relevant teams to facilitate User Acceptance Testing clearances followed by deployment in the production environment.
• Update all the stakeholders proactively for all the risks/issues identified during the execution.
• Proactively support the resolution of all the issues encountered during the development/Production life cycle and work with counterparts to arrive at closure of issues identified during the life cycle.
• Work closely with the other Tech Partners to improve the product and infrastructure features and support all the required development/testing efforts for the mandatory technology changes such as version upgrades.
• Support the building and maintenance of a robust Innovation/Automation project pipeline with clear benefit realization, along with finding opportunities to apply solutions to other units and Operations (promote adoption), as required.
• Support Training for Business and other partners/ stakeholders about RPA products & features and guide/support other team members involved in the Automation Development projects.
Selection Criteria
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Computer Science, IT or Commerce with Diploma in Software Engineering preferably certified in Automation Anywhere tool.
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in Programming (Coding), SQL/Relational Databases and application development.
• Strong Problem Solving and Analytical Skills.
• Experience with one or more RPA Technologies, preferably Automation Anywhere.
• Experience with Process analysis, Design & Implementation, Business/Technical requirements, Problem Solving, System Testing including User Acceptance Testing and Fixes.
• Highly organized, process-driven, demonstrates ability to proactively prioritize work.
• Outstanding written and verbal communications skills and ability to convey complex issues concisely to senior management, colleagues and clients.
• Strong listening skills and ability to gain understanding of stakeholder needs and challenges.
• Knowledge of IFC systems, procedures and policies shall be advantageous. (IFC uses SAP, ACBS, Investran, Quantum, Summit, iPortal systems).
