Job Title: First Aid Trainer
Job Location: Cornwall, Plymouth & Devon
Salary: £23,366 to £25,203 (dependent on qualifications) per annum based on 35 hour week
Contract Type: Fixed term for 12 months
Would you like to play a vital role in delivering first aid training and specialist courses, teaching life-saving skills?
From helping someone who is unresponsive, to treating burns, we equip people with the confidence to provide potentially lifesaving support in an emergency. Our first aid courses depend on the needs of our service users so no two days will be the same!
Not only do our courses provide people with life-saving knowledge and skills but after costs have been deducted, every penny made goes to support the crucial work of the British Red Cross.
This is a fantastic opportunity and will be a rewarding role for the right person, you’ll be helping us to achieve our mission of helping people in crisis.
You’ll be part of a team of First Aid Trainers based in Cornwall, delivering training and life saving skills to large and small groups across Plymouth and Devon as well as Cornwall therefore a valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential. Some flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends will also be required.
We hold ISO 9001:2015 quality management accreditation, demonstrating the quality of service and training you can expect to receive when choosing the British Red Cross. We’ve been delivering first aid at work courses for more than 30 years.
To be a successful First Aid Trainer:-
Do you have an engaging personality; are a strong communicator, confident speaking in front of groups of people?
Do you love listening to others, coming up with solutions to problems, challenging opinions and giving feedback?
Do you have a Training or Teaching qualification, or you’re prepared to work towards one?
Do you have experience of preparing and delivering a range of training courses, and are confident in presenting to mixed ability groups?
Are you comfortable working on your own and can travel to a range of training venues?
Are you IT literate?

The closing date for your application is 23.59 on Thursday 19th October 2023 with interviews expected to take place in person at St Austell Conference Centre, Cornwall on 2nd November.
