Consultancy Title: Freelance Data Scientist for Data collation, restructure and entry

Location(s) where the Services are to be performed: Remote

Contracting Manager: Global Supply Chain and Operations Director

Timings: Approximately 20 days between November 1^st and December 20^th 2023

Role Classification: this contract will require the consultant delivering these services to have undertaken standard pre contracting checks

SCOPE AND NATURE OF THE SERVICES:

The Data Scientist will collate data, define the best ways of representing the data and enter the data into the agreed representations/tools to allow easier medical product quality assurance validation and classification..

1.     Collate medical certificate validation data, medical product certificates and medical device classification data that has been generated during medical supplies procurements in RI countries in 2022/23 (including data from Excel procurement files and pdf copies of the quality certificates per medical product)

2.     Analysis of this data to define the best way that it can be presented to make it easily searchable, including the following which can be easily accessed, referenced and searched by RI staff in all RI locations globally

o   A Medical Supply Quality Certificate Tracker’

§  In Excel or SharePoint, or other easy to use and maintain database/tool that has not additional software/licence cost for RI

§  With each Medical product having a link to its relevant Quality Certificate

§  With cross referencing (e.g. vlookups) to the existing pharmaceutical names as defined in the MS Excel RI Medical Standard List

§  With cross referencing (e.g. vlookups) to the product classifications in the RI Medial Device standard list

o   A filing structure on the RI internal cloud file storage (which uses SharePoint and Box cloud storage) for the pdf medical product quality certificateser

3.     Entry of all data collected from 2022/23 procurements as follows

o   Medical Supply Quality Certificate Validation data into an Excel or SharePoint ‘Medical Supply Quality Certificate Tracker’ which can be easily accessed, referenced and searched by all RI staff

o   Pdf Medical Product quality certificates stored on the RI internal cloud file storage, as per the filing structure approved in step 2

o   Medical Device Classification data captured in the MS Excel Medical Device Standard list which will be provided by RI

o

Deliverables:

·       Data collection from RI countries on all medical supply procurements in 2022/23 (approx. 5 days)

·       Develop the following Templates (approx 5 days)

o   A Medical Supply Quality Certificate Tracker template

o   A filing structure on the RI internal cloud file storage (which uses SharePoint and Box cloud storage) for the pdf medical product quality certificates

·       Data Entry into the approved templates as per point 3 in the Scope of Works section above (Approx. 10 days)

Technical Experience and Skills required for the role

·       Expert Excel skills

·       Proven experience in data analysis and representation for non-data experts

·       Knowledge of using Sharepoint as a database tool is preferable (using MS Lists and MS Power Automate)

·       Data automation experience with Excel VBA Macros and/or Power Query and/or Python  is preferable
