Your responsibilities
Come and join the Engineering Department’s AMM (Asset and Maintenance Management) section as a Full-Stack Software Developer and integrate into in a dynamic team of software professionals, where agile software development, asset management, DevOps, and machine learning come together. You will take the lead in designing and implementing a collection of advanced web applications aimed at optimising the asset and maintenance management processes for over 4000 users. These crucial applications are built on top of the Organization’s Enterprise Asset Management platform, HxGN EAM, for which the team is also publishing components as open-source.
Your efforts will have a direct impact on the daily tasks for engineers and technicians managing CERN’s particle accelerator complex and its surrounding technical infrastructure. Utilizing a wide array of technologies, including JavaScript (React), the HTML5 stack, Java, OIDC, and maximizing our proprietary cloud services, you will participate in molding the architecture of our digital engineering platform.
Beyond programming, you’ll transition into roles such as the Scrum Master, guide junior team members, perform code reviews, collaborate in pair coding sessions, and have access to various training programs to further your professional development. This position offers a unique blend of technical challenges and the chance to be part of meaningful projects that have a tangible impact on the functioning of CERN.
