The Officer will oversee the implementation of the project “Enhancing Angola’s Access to Climate Finance on Sustainable Transport and Sustainable Landscape (AFOLU) Sectors” which aims to improve Angola’s ability to access climate finance to meet its Nationally Determined Contributions (NDC) targets.
The Officer will work closely with MINAMB, GGGI teams, and private sector partners to ensure efficient execution of the project while aligning activities with Angola’s Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs). This role requires strong project management and climate finance skills, with an emphasis on facilitating partnerships and ensuring the smooth delivery of project outputs. The position will report directly to the Country Representative for Angola, Uganda, and Zambia and will be supervised locally by the GCF Project Manager/Lead in Angola and the NDA/Ministry representative/focal point. S/he will be based in Angola upon arrangement with the NDA.

WORKING CONDITIONS
The Officeris an X8 grade level in GGGI’s national salary scale. Determination of base salary is subject to candidate’s experience, academic background, and internal equity. GGGI provides 15% of base salary towards retirement plan/long-term savings, 27 days of annual leave, and private health insurance. This is a national position and does not include relocation benefits.
