The International Water Management Institute (IWMI), a CGIAR research centre, is seeking applications from highly motivated and experienced GESI specialists for a consultancy assignment under the Swiss Development Cooperation (SDC) supported multi-year, multi-country project titled Solar Irrigation for Agriculture Resilience (SoLAR).
IWMI is currently implementing the first phase of this project in four countries – Nepal, Bangladesh, India, and Pakistan. The project aims to contribute to climate-resilient, gender and socially inclusive agrarian livelihoods in Nepal these four countries by supporting their respective government efforts to promote solar irrigation. The project will work closely with government partners to achieve its objectives.
Scope of work
The GESI consultant will support work on Gender, Equity and Social Inclusion (GESI) aspects of the SoLAR project. Specifically, the advisor will be responsible for ensuring that gender and social-inclusion is adequately incorporated across all work-streams the programme, including in policy reform and planned interventions. This position will be based in New Delhi, India with regular visits to field sites.
